Christopher Lee Fairbourne passed away on November 22, 2024. He was born on April 18, 1973, in Portland, Oregon, and grew up in Plymouth, Minnesota.
Chris’ passions ran deep and he is described by his dear friend, Danny, as a lifelong audiophile and armchair recording engineer. He loved classical music and singing Mozart operas, and spent hours listening to and analyzing music. He loved cycling, bicycle mechanics, philosophy, and all things technical. Chris enjoyed optimizing everything, as though on a mission for efficiency. He had a dark sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
Ever a private and creative person, Chris delighted in working in information security, working for Folio, OpenMarket, and later leading digital security initiatives at both Roku and Party City. Few were as able to communicate complex ideas with the eloquence that exuded from Chris. His family, friends, and coworkers benefited from his passion and intellect.
Chris is preceded in death by his loving grandparents whom he adored. He is survived by his children, Emma and Jackson, their mother (Christine) and her sons (David and Ian); his parents, Mike and Peggy; his six siblings; thirteen nieces and nephews; his girlfriend, Marcela.
The Fairbourne family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to those who have loved and supported Chris.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 7, at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints Chapel, 330 Vicksburg Lane North, Plymouth, MN.
