Charles "Charlie" Norman Wilson of Maple Grove, Minnesota passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born on March 25, 1947 in Delaware, Ohio, and grew up in Worthington, Ohio, graduated from Worthington High School in 1965, then attended Clemson University, South Carolina, where he received a Master’s Degree in Materials Engineering.
Charlie worked as a materials engineer for over 40 years, first in the biomedical field for Pfizer and Medtronic, and later worked for United Defense and BAE Systems.
Charlie and Patti met while both were working at Medtronic. They were married for 41 years. He was a loving husband and devoted father to his two children and took special joy in the recent birth of his granddaughter.
Charlie had many hobbies and interests including genealogy and history, all things science, woodworking, boating and cabin life at the lake. He loved fishing, sports, and traveling, especially with his family. He will be forever missed.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Hortense Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Patti Wilson; son, Derek Wilson; daughter, Marissa (Ian) Parrague; granddaughter, Evelyn Parrague; brother, Phil (Holly) Wilson; and extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank Grace Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Charlie in his final days.
