Carl S. Weiser, age 93, of New Hope, MN, passed away March 28, 2022. Born in Decorah, IA, on September 21, 1928. Carl completed high school at Mercersberg Academy in Pennsylvania and graduated from Bucknell University. He was very proud of his service in the Army, especially his tour in Korea from 1953-1954 (25th Infantry). He worked in personnel with New York Trust Co. in New York City, Northwestern Bank in Minneapolis, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. He also had served as past President of MSTC (Matched Singles Tennis Club).
Carl enjoyed his yearly grouse hunting trips to the North Shore, competing in tennis, photography, daily crossword puzzles, reciting limericks, and drinking coffee with his many friends at McDonalds. Always one to explore, he toured over 90 countries with his wife, Lorna.
Carl is preceded in death by his adopted parents, Charles and Dorothy Weiser; birth mother, Anna Grace Waters; only sister, Sally Blake (Dave); stepdaughter-in-law, Mary Buffington. He is survived by his loving wife and companion, Lorna Tjaden; children, Victoria, Joann Beveridge (Ed), Medora Willis (Michael), Carl Jr. (Kristin); stepchildren, Steve Buffington, Lori MacIsaac (Doug), Matthew Buffington (Ginger); numerous grandchildren/step grandchildren, great grandchildren/step great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild.
