

Beverly Joan Reed, age 92, of Princeton, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Warren Earl Reed and Beverly Joan Reed. Beloved partners in life they passed away within six days of each other, leaving a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories.
Beverly Reed, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister was called home to the Lord on July 2, 2024 at the age of 92. Born on July 21,1931 in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she was raised. She attended South High School in Minneapolis and was a baton twirler in the band. She dedicated her professional life to various companies including 20 years at Dr. Kraft Dental and a joyful tenure at the University of Minnesota as an administrative secretary in men’s athletics. Bev was often seen as Goldy the Gopher at some of the events spreading joy and spirit among countless fans.
Beverly's heart was anchored in her family and her faith. She was a loving mother to her children and delighted in singing in church choirs, The Family Singers, Christmas decorating, bell ringing, and kitchen band through her church. In her later years she enjoyed knitting, watching Wheel of Fortune, and cheering for the Minnesota Gophers football team. Her active participation in the church and community exemplified her faith and commitment to serving others. She will be remembered for her caring and generous spirit, a testament to her life of faith and love for God.
Beverly is survived by her brother, Harold (Sharon) Freeman; her children, Tom (Debbie), Jim, Susan (Tim), and Patti (Dan); and her stepson, Randy (Mari). The legacy of her love extends to her treasured grandchildren, Mike (Christina), Becca, Alan (Katelyn), Ryan (Bria), Nicole (Joe), Colton (Anne), Kayla, Wyatt, Dani, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eileen and Harold Freeman, and her husband, Warren Reed. Her departure leaves a profound void, but her spirit and the memories she created will forever enrich our lives.
Warren Reed, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother was embraced by the Lord on June 26, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on February 23, 1933 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Ethel and George Reed. Warren attended St. Louis Park High School and followed his calling in Electrical Engineering at Dunwoody College of Technology. His professional journey led him to significant roles in Quality Assurance at Honeywell, Control Data, and Graco where his contributions left a lasting impact.
Warren's life was marked by his devotion to family and faith. Warren married Mary Reed in 1956 and shortly after gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, Randy. Warren and Mary enjoyed being on the water and entertaining as often as possible. After Mary’s passing, Warren found love again with Beverly Reed. Warren's hobbies included fishing, singing, hunting, attending Minnesota Gopher games, card playing, and boating. He actively participated in three church choirs, a golf league in Mesa, AZ, and a gun club with Graco. In Warren's later years he loved to fix broken gadgets, work on his flower gardens, playing 500 and cribbage, watching reruns of old TV shows, and playing with his great-grandchildren. Warren's infectious positivity and unwavering happiness were reflections of his faith and the love of Christ in his heart.
Warren is survived by his son, Randy (Mari); and stepchildren, Tom (Debbie), Jim, Susan (Tim), and Patti (Dan); his grandchildren, Nicole (Joe), Colton (Annie), Mike (Christina), Becca, Alan (Kaitlyn), Ryan (Brea), Kayla, Wyatt, Dani; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel (Peg) Reed; his former wife, Mary Reed; and his brother, Kenneth Reed. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, his spirit lives on in the memories and the love he shared.
Warren and Beverly: A love story and testament to God’s divine plan.
Warren and Bev shared a love story that spanned decades filled with joy, laughter and unwavering devotion. Their journey began in 1991 and from the day they met, it was clear to everyone around them that their bond was something special, a connection that only grew stronger with each passing day. Married for 32 years, they were inseparable companions who built a beautiful life together traveling often in the U.S and abroad. Together Warren and Beverly faced life's challenges with resilience and grace, always finding strength in each other. All who entered their home were met with love and friendship.
When Warren passed away, Bev’s heart was broken. She followed him to heaven just six days later. Now reunited in eternal peace, Warren and Beverly's love story continues in the hearts and memories of their loved ones. This is a testament to the enduring power of faith, hope, and love. Much like the lyrics of one of their wedding songs, "On Eagles Wings," they were lifted high on the wings of God's love, made to shine like the sun and held in the palm of His hand. Warren and Beverly will be dearly missed by all their family and friends.
Celebration of Life for both Warren and Beverly will be held on Thursday, July 11th, 2024 at
Trinity Lutheran Church, 111 6th Ave N, Princeton, MN 55371. Service will be at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. There will be a light lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the University of Minnesota Cancer Center.
