The oldest of triplets, Betty, and her sister Shirley, were often found out working in the fields, fishing, or working with horses while the other triplet, Virginia, looked after the other siblings. After marrying Eugene McNall, in 1941 the couple had two children, Judith & Roxanne.
Betty had a love of the outdoors spending much time walking, hiking, cross-country skiing, and golfing. She enjoyed league bowling in the 1960s-80s becoming a member of the Les Dames DE S “700” Bowling Club. In league golf, she sank three holes-in-one, played softball with her sister Shirley, traveled, played cards, dice games, and crossword puzzles, loved reading, and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. Betty loved spending time with her family at the cabin and attending almost every event of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene (Jinks) McNall; daughters, Judi Sellnow, Roxanne Reynolds; son-in-law, Ron Sellnow; siblings, Warren Peterson, Shirley Fromm, Virginia Leivermann, Peggy Roberts, Lola Bechtel, Charlotte Ess; niece, Linda (Leivermann) Granich.
Betty is survived by her sister, Marilynn Holtz; grandchildren, Gretchen (Joe) Randall, Derek Sellnow, Jennifer (Patrick) Dame; her great-grandchildren, Gabby Brann, Anna and Claire Sellnow, Madison, Nicolette and Delanee Dame, Nicholas and Olivia Randall; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Friday, June 9 at 10am.
