Barry Alan Gostchock

Barry Alan Gostchock a redeemed child of God through Jesus his Savior of Roseville, MN was taken to his heavenly home on October 25, 2023 at the age of 75. He was born on June 26, 1948 in Milwaukee, WI where he grew up and spent many wonderful years.

Barry graduated from Martin Luther College in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science in Education.

In his second and best career, Barry worked as a Minister of the Gospel as a Principal and Teacher from 1996 to 2013. Prior to serving the full-time ministry for his Lord and Savior Jesus, Barry served as a financial officer assisting people in fulfilling their financial needs and dreams.

Barry was actively involved in serving the Lord in all he did throughout his adult life. His passion was to serve people and let them all know they are valued creations of God and are saved through Spirit worked faith in Jesus. He lived his faith in all he did and enjoyed – with his family and friends, his community, his churches, when he played basketball, tennis, golf, and more. Barry showed God’s love to all and in all.

Barry was preceded in death by his loving parents, Kenneth Eugene and Lois Ann (nee Schmitt) Gostchock.

Barry is survived by his loving, faith centered wife and amazing, God fearing family.

Barry was truly an example of love, kindness, and faith throughout his life in all he did. He will be remembered in this way by all who knew him. Barry lived his life in the love of God and now in his death still asks us all to do the same through Jesus our Lord and Savior. To God be the glory.

The family would like to thank the spiritual care received from our pastors, the medical staff from Neuro ICU at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and all of the many family and friends who reached out to us during this time for the care, love, and compassion shown to Barry and us all. To God be the glory for all that was done and is still being done.

Family, friends, and all people are invited to attend a Jesus centered Memorial Service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023 with visitation at 2 p.m. at New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 180 County Road F, Shoreview, MN 55126.
