August took vows in 1987, marrying the love of his life, Mary Beth Hackenmueller. In 1988, August began the last of his career path at Fabcon, where he retired after 21 years of employment, gaining an entire additional ‘family.’ He captured his favorite pastime, joining the Knights of Columbus, where he thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this fraternal service, gaining yet another group of ‘brothers’.
August was loved by so many. His carefree nature was easy to love, which was evident in the many friends he made over the years and the number of those friends who became close enough to be considered ‘family.’
