Audrey Jeanne Peterson

Audrey Jeanne Peterson passed away on March 25, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born on October 20, 1931, in Bottineau, ND. Audrey grew up in Robbinsdale, MN, and graduated from Robbinsdale Senior High School in 1950.

On July 9, 1952, Audrey married the love of her life, Carl Peterson. They went on to have six children and raised them in Crystal, MN. After retirement, Audrey and Carl resided in Surprise, AZ, then eventually relocated to Luck, Wisconsin, where they currently resided.

Over the years, Audrey worked at Robbinsdale State Bank and Crystal State Bank as a teller. She also worked with Carl at the family business, Carl's Tire.

Like her beautiful gardens, Audrey bloomed with elegance and grace. She lived her life by the word of God, steadfast in her Catholic faith. From her Bible studies to her regular Sunday mornings, she flourished in faith. She cherished time spent traveling with Carl in their motorhome. But of all the places they’d venture, her greatest joy came from those she shared with family. Audrey always said being a parent is the most wonderful thing in the world. Those blessed to call her mom can attest she was purely a natural at it. Like the embroidery and knitting she enjoyed, her life was a work of art. If you were to write a crossword on Audrey’s life, it would include the words, wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, and beautiful right down to her core. Deep in the roots of Audrey’s faith, she lived everyday with kindness in her heart and with her family by her side.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Cyril Sylvester and Rose Marie Antoinette Dooley; daughter, Susan Marie Tiger; siblings, Dorothy Ann (Clair) Seifert, Adele Dooley, Edward (Gloria) Dooley, Patricia Dooley, Mary Ellen (Robert) Kubic; grandson, Tyler Carl Balfany; parents-in-law, Carl Rudolph and Gladys Peterson; sister-in-law, Marlys Kaye (Tom). She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Carl Walter Peterson; children, Jeannie Balfany, David (Lisa) Peterson, Jacqueline Ann (Kevin) Begin, Robert Peterson, Connie Thompson; grandchildren, Naomi (Bryon), Zachary, Lucas (Jocelyn), Lindsay (Collin), Britni (Tony), Eric (Lyndsay), Sean, Ryan, Sara (Austin), Jacob (Heather), Madalyn (Alec), Logan; great grandchildren, Travis, Drake, Presley, Ace, Ellis, Violet, Braxton, Paisley; brother, Richard (Carol) Dooley; as well as many friends and extended family.

Family would like to thank the Comfort Care Team at Mayo - St. Mary's, Rochester, and to the Neptune Society for the care and compassion they showed Audrey and her family in her final days.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on April 11, 2026 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 507 West Main St., Balsam Lake, WI. Visitation begins at 930am. Luncheon will follow Mass.
