Alvin Nicholas "Nick" Lucas Jr. passed on August 18, 2026, at the age of 77. Nick was born on November 12, 1948, in Minneapolis, MN to Alvin Sr. and Elaine (Booth) Lucas.
Nick grew up in North Minneapolis and graduated from North High in 1966. He then started to work for Honeywell before being drafted in 1969 and served in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Elaine; brothers, Haven and Paul; nephew, Ben Hoffman; niece, Brenda Hughes; and brother-in-law, Steve Vigassa.
Nick is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anita Joy; son, Nicholas (Elizabeth); sisters, Joan (Doug) Houpt and Peggy Sanders; and many nieces and nephews.
Nick will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a future date. No formal services will occur.
