Alexander Alan Iverson

Alexander Alan Iverson of Minneapolis, MN passed away on August 12, 2023 at the age of 41. He was born on August 14, 1981 in Albert Lea, MN where he grew up. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 2000. Alex joined the Marines after high school then worked at the VA Hospital.

Alex loved visiting his grandparent’s farm, spending time with his friends and especially his grandfather Clarence, watching movies, playing video games, learning to play guitar and hanging out with his cat, Boo. Alex tamed Boo from a fierce wild kitty to a cuddly loving best friend.

Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Alice (Hendrickson) Iverson and Walter and Shirley (Paulson) Norregaard.

Alex is survived by his beloved cat, Boo; father, David Iverson (Albert Lea); mother, Marie Norregaard (Austin); brothers, Jason (Red Wing) and Justin (Connecticut); nephew, Justin (Connecticut); as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

The family would like to thank the VA Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed Alex in his final days. Alex’s cat Boo visited daily and was honored with a handmade toy mouse from the VA hospice staff.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service and interment at Oakland Lutheran Cemetery, Albert Lea, on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Luncheon to follow at Oakland Lutheran Church.
