Adeline Pauline Hofstad

Adeline (Addie) P. Hofstad, the daughter of Asbjorn and Marie Smedstad, was born in Jersey City, New Jersey 99 years ago and moved to the Midwest shortly thereafter. She was the middle daughter of 5, and the family moved regularly due to Asbjorn being a Methodist minister. Addie married Ralph Hofstad June 14, 1947, and spent over 67 years with him as they moved around the Midwest with their family in support of Ralph's career. They had 6 children as well as 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Addie enjoyed and was fortunate enough to travel all over the US as well as overseas including places such as Norway, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, and many more. However, the cabin in Alexandria, Minnesota was a pride and joy where the family would gather each summer for over 50 years. The family will have a private burial later this summer.
