William A Zalenski

He retired from Grumman Aerospace after 27 years. He was proud of his service in the Army. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sargeant.

William loved God, his wife Barbara, his daughters Joan, Doreen, and Kathleen, their husbands Jorge, Patrick and Andrew, his grandchildren Glenn, Crystal, Paul, Eric, and Alex.

He did everything with persistence and determination. He was a faithful loving husband for 63 years and active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He enjoyed building model airplanes and sailboats. He liked being useful, repairing and maintaining his home and yard. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his loving wife Barbara, traveling, sunsets and celebrations with family. He is greatly missed by his family but the memories of his love will endure.

There will a service at 11:00 A.M at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 West Charlotte Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL, 33950 on August 23rd. Military Honors at 3:00 P.M. at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota FL, 34241.

The family requests in lieu of flowers to donate to the USO, The Gary Sinise Foundation, My Warriors Place or your favorite military charity.
