Wayne was born on August 18th, 1966 in Fort Bragg, NC. He graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, class of 1984. During his life he pursued many careers including bartending, emergency medical technician, fire prevention services, residential construction, CDL truck driver and finally entrepreneur.
Wayne's civic contributions included service in the local Kiwanis club and membership in ABATE Estero River Chapter. In addition, he was co-owner of the Lee Island Pirates Days Festival held in downtown Fort Myers at Centennial Park as a benefit for Make-A-Wish.
Wayne met his first wife Linda Huber in Fort Myers, FL in 1992. He later married his second wife, Rowan Zakany.
His favorite form of rest and relaxation was riding his customized Harley Davidson, for what he referred to as "Wind Therapy."
Wayne was predeceased by his father Michael D. Thompson. He is survived by mother Faye Williams and stepfather Don Williams, brother Marc Thompson, daughters Amanda Thompson and Ashley Thompson and their fiances (Branden Hofstad) (Tomas Gonzales IV) and grandson Bronson Gonzales.
A Celebration of life will be held at Cape Clubhouse on September 17th at 2pm. The address is 1404 Del Prado Blvd S Unit 175 Cape Coral, FL 33990
