Virginia Ruth Harris Davies

In Loving Memory of VIRGINIA RUTH HARRIS DAVIES Virginia H. Davies of Venice, Florida died Saturday evening January 28, 2017. Born in Kingston Pennsylvania on December 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Anna Harris. Virginia was a physical education major at Penn State and coached many young women in basketball, field hockey, and bowling. She loved to ski in Colorado and sun on the warm beaches of Florida. She is survived by her sons Bryant Davies of St. Petersburg, Florida and Allen Davies, Jr. and Amy Davies of Cape Coral, FL; her grandchildren Allen Davies III, Samantha Davies, Jeremy Hughes, and Nicole Hughes. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30pm, February 4, 2017 at the Grace United Methodist Church, 400 Field Avenue, Venice, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to either the Lee County Homeless Coalition, 1500 Colonial Blvd., Suite 225, Ft.
