Timothy Lee Saulsbery, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025 at the age of 70. Tim was born in Meadville, PA on July 17, 1954, a son of the late Bernard and Wanda (Pasikoski) Saulsbery.
Tim graduated from Meadville Area Senior High in 1972 and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland. He was married to the former Susan K. Bean for over 32 years.
Tim was a proud 20 year veteran of the US Army attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He began his military career as an infantryman and later transitioned into computers and information technology. He continued his career in Information Technology as an IT Director for 5 years after his military retirement.
He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island where he served as Treasurer for several years. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Greater Pine Island Water Association, where he served as the Secretary. He proudly worked for the Board of Elections as a poll worker for 10 years.
Tim was a skilled woodworker and was happy to share lovingly crafted pieces with friends and family. He was often seen riding his recumbent tricycle with his beloved dachshund, Greta, sitting in her basket. The duo logged in over 12,000 miles on their daily rides.
In addition to his loving wife, Susan, Tim is survived by daughter Holly (Davis) Winbigler of Deland, FL, granddaughter Cora Winbigler, brother Thomas (Patricia) Saulsbery of Reston, VA, sister Tammy (Scott) Randazza of Poinciana, FL, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Internment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery with full military honors on February 20, 2025 at 11:30 am.
