Everyone who got to know Steve loved him for that. He expressed his outlook on life through his artwork.
It was an extreme compliment that chose me to be his best friend for 44 years; his life partner for nearly 40 years; his husband for over 7 years.
He meant so much to so many people that it almost feels selfish to express my sorrow at losing him.
He went just the way he had always said he hoped he would… suddenly, painlessly and at home surrounded by the family and things that he loved.
