I remember Mr. Gerraughty when he came to my elementary school showing all the kids different instruments that he could teach us. I picked the saxophone and had the pleasure of learning music from him and then being in the Morton band with him leading it and then at Durfee in the stage band as lead alto. If it wasn't for him, I might not have had a life of music that i lived. Most of my best friends were had because I was a musician.  I hope he realized how he changed so many lives for the better with music. RIP Mr Gerraughty.

I could not write even half of all the memories I have since Ray is the longest lifetime friend that I had .. I’ve known him since I was 15 and I’m 64 now .. calling each other every year on our birthdays.. 🔥burning cranberry sauce .. beautiful piano music and begging him to play for me … hunting pheasant.. eating pheasant! Always could make him laugh .. and hope you rest in peace and know you were loved by so many …

My condolences to Sue and the family. My heart breaks along with yours. From the first moment I met Ray & Sue we felt like old friends - talking and laughing as if we’d always known each other. We rode out Hurricane Ian together with some intense moments, but also laughter…and there was always an invitation to come to their home. You can’t say Ray without also saying Sue because they were always together - offering friendship & love.  Sue, you especially,  are in my thoughts and prayers.  Anything you need, I am here. ❤️
