

Oliver Jakob passed away on December 21st, 2021 in Fort Myers, FL at age 50. Oliver was born in Offenbach, Germany on April 3rd, 1971 and moved to the United States in June of 1978; he became an official US citizen in 2004. Oliver joined the army in the summer of 1989 and was stationed at Fort Hood, TX. He was there for 4 years assigned on reserve during Desert Storm and worked as a personnel clerk while stationed there.
Oliver is survived by his mother Lydia Branka and step father Richard Branka, his children, Christopher Jakob, Olivia Jakob, Wilhelm Jakob, and Jessica Jakob, his brothers, Alexander Jakob, Daileon Draper, and Joshua Draper.
Oliver then went on to join the fire academy where he received his fire fighter certificate. Oliver worked many different jobs and was beloved by many. Oliver enjoyed coaching various sports, mostly basketball and soccer and is remembered by many as this. He enjoyed fishing at Bell Isle and spent much time there. He loved hiking and had an amazing time hiking the Appalachian trails. Oliver will be remembered for his kindness, his accepting nature, and his ability to make those around him laugh.
