Nancy Lynne Booth of Ellenton, Florida went home to the Lord on October 31, 2025. She was born on February 5, 1948, to Paul and Naomi (Welty) Fritsch in Wauseon, Ohio. She grew up in Wauseon and Maumee alongside her two siblings, Barbara and Ralph, and graduated from Maumee High School in 1966, where she played clarinet in the marching band and was inducted into the National Honors Society. Nancy went on to complete two years at the University of Toledo School of Nursing.
Nancy married Harold Booth on July 25, 1977. They lived in Maumee for 26 years before moving to Ellenton in September 2003. They had many adventures, including several visits to Hawaii, Manhattan, Myrtle Beach, Washington D.C., Walt Disney World, the Caribbean, and two memorable trips to Alaska and Victoria Island. Their life together was filled with joy and love.
Nancy spent over 40 years in the dental field. She started at the Medical College of Ohio (MCO) as a dental assistant in 1980. She left MCO to start a dental practice on July 1, 1983 with Dr. Edward Posluszny, DDS, where she worked as a dental assistant and office manager, in Toledo, Ohio. Once she moved to Florida, she worked for Drs. Curry, Peirce, and Associates in Bradenton, Florida managing the front desk until August 2021. She had a special ability to connect with everyone she met and, as a result, built lifelong friendships with the staff and patients at both facilities.
Nancy enjoyed cooking, baking, entertaining, scrapbooking, and Ohio State football. In her later years, she loved attending events at her community’s clubhouse, visiting with neighbors, swimming in the pool, and spending time with her family. She and Harry physically or virtually attended mass at Woodland Community Church in Bradenton, Florida nearly every Sunday.
Nancy doted on her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, the latter two numbering close to 100 including great nieces and nephews. She always went out of her way to make them feel special and loved. She never missed mailing a birthday card, calling on a holiday, or sending a message over social media. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harry; brother, Ralph Fritsch; children, Julie (Darryl) Bauman, Robert (Mary) Booth, Laurie Stansley, and Thaddeus Haddad; grandchildren, Lindsey Bauman, Jacob (Rachel) Booth, Andrew (Sydney) Miller, Boyce (Emily) Stansley, Austin Miller, Dillon Booth, and Nickolas Booth; scores of nieces and nephews, including Paul (Laura) Fritsch, Kevin (Julie) Fritsch, and Stacey (Nicholas) Simon, whom she helped raise; her Godchildren Nancy (Pittman) Robinson and Joseph Francis; and her devoted dog, Lilly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Naomi; sister, Barbara (Jones) Pittman; sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Yerkes) Fritsch, Sandra (Booth) Ashley, and Kathleen (Booth) Schultz; and brothers-in-law, Melvin Pittman, Thomas Booth and Michael Booth.
Nancy’s family would like to thank the many family members, friends, and neighbors who assisted with her care, visited, brought food, supplied transportation, and sent prayers, support, and cards through the final months of her life. They would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, aids, and Hospice staff who cared for her.
In lieu of flowers (she loved white petal daisies if you must), the family asks that you consider donating to one of the following in her memory: Woodland Community Church (gowoodland.com GIVE); Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation (fcsf.org); Tidewell Hospice Foundation (tidewellfoundation.org); or Academy at Glengary & Bradenton (academysrq.org).
A celebration of life will be held at Woodland Community Church (9607 E. State Road 70, Bradenton, FL 34202) on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
