Marian Roberts Harlow died September 24, 2016 at the Village on the Isle in Venice FL. She was born in Kent County MI and graduated from Godwin Heights HS. She majored in music at Michigan State, taught piano for a number of years, and is remembered for her wonderful singing in the choir at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Sarasota. Marian enjoyed singing in the “Village Voices” when she could no longer drive to the church. She could sing a soprano “high C” in perfect pitch. She married Howard William Harlow in 1942, and worked at the Dow Chemical Company in Midland MI during WWII. Both Bill and Marian were members of the Mayflower Society. They moved to Nokomis in 1975 and to the Village on the Isle in 2001. Marian’s survivors include their daughter Naida Harlow Moore, grandchildren Naida Elizabeth Moore and William Randolph Harlow Moore, and a great-grandson Gerheem Lamm, all residing in Plantation FL. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, her two brothers Philip Roberts and Jack Cummiford and her two sisters Gladys Platte and Ellen Krause.
