Monson Douglas, (Doug), was born in New Haven, Connecticut on July 5, 1934. He graduated from Portland High School in Portland, Maine in 1952. He joined the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department in 1958 for 2-1/2 years. He then worked for the California Highway Patrol for 30 years spending 21 years as Motorcycle Sergeant. His hobbies were tennis, running and fishing.
Monson is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Douglas of 28 years and 4 children, Stephanie Richey, Monson Douglas IV, Mark Douglas, Debra Butterfield, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
