Born on December 28, 1953, to Beverly and Peter Worsdale, Mark grew up in Miami, FL, where he built a beautiful life with his wife, Elizabeth Bolander. Together, they had two children, Justin and Simone.
He attended Florida International University and, in 1981, founded a business that continues to thrive today under the leadership of his son-in-law, Andrew.
Mark had a deep passion for botany, dedicating countless hours to his gardens. His love for landscaping was even recognized by The Miami Herald, which featured his family home’s stunning grounds.
About 12 years ago, Mark was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He faced his illness with strength and courage, battling it until his health began to decline in recent months. He passed away in peace.
Above all, Mark loved his family dearly. He was known as a kind and welcoming soul, embraced as a second father by many of his children’s friends.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his children, Justin and Simone; his son-in-law, Andrew; his daughter-in-law, Rachel; his grandson, Yves; and his sister, Cassandra. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly and Peter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation in Mark’s memory.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his caregiver, Sadie, and the compassionate team at Hampton Manor of Punta Gorda.
