Margie was born on a farm in Sharon, North Dakota to Rudy and Ella Olson. She was the last of 6 children, her sisters, Lauri, Betty, and Kay were the light of her life. Brothers Dick and Don were her champions. They moved to Franklin, Minnesota, where she was an active in school, a cheerleader with many friends.
She married Bill Wetmore, moved to Redwood Falls, MN, where they started a photography business and raised three children. In 1974, she married Jim Peterson, moved to Minnetonka and had another daughter. In 1981 she met and married Gerald (Jerry) Ruzicka and moved to Delano, MN. In the late 1990's they began their transition to Cape Coral, Florida.
Things that brought to her joy in life included spending time with her family, swimming in her pool, painting outdoor scenes, reading a good book and the Bible, having a glass of wine before dinner, scallops, finding narrow shoes, and reminiscing over old photos. Not to forget, playing Skipbo with any willing competitor. Margie loved to travel, especially to places that she could dive with the ocean marine life. She touched foot on all continents except for Antarctica, which she would never consider due to the cold.
Margie is survived by her loving and devoted husband Gerald (Jerry) Ruzicka who loved and adored her, son William "Bill" Wetmore Jr, daughters, Michelle (Tom) Shrider, and Shari (Patrick) Ley, 5 adoring grandchildren, Isaac Shrider; Caleb, Asher, Avery, and Isaiah Ley. She is preceded by her parents, siblings, and son Scott Wetmore.
She brought a contagious smile and laughter to all who knew her, she was the life of the party. Margie made friends easily and was surrounded by many who loved her.
She will be missed by all.
