Marie was a graduate of John J High School. She worked at Simplex Fire Extinguisher Company with her husband and owner of the small business Anthony Rocco for 33 years and was also a Homemaker.
She and the love of her life, husband Anthony, spent 34 years in Brooklyn, NY where they raised their 6 children, and summered in Greenwood Lake, NJ prior to retiring to Florida in 1984. We will treasure the family memories of Thanksgiving in Brooklyn, Halloween parties, summers at Greenwood Lake, the Luau at the Big House on Greenwood Lake, and family card games. Marie loved to dance and had great partners with both husbands.
Marie was a member of the Italian American Club where she performed in the talent show for several years with acts like “A Couple of Swells” with her husband Anthony and Bits of Broadway with her sister Carol DiMattei. She loved to play in weekly card games with her sister Carol and several ladies she met from the Italian American Club. She helped decorate for the monthly functions in her Brandywine and Hidden Gardens Community. She enjoyed going to the Casino in Immokalee and the various Arcades in her area with her sister Carol.
She was 16 years preceded in death by her husband Anthony of 57 years, survived by 5 sons and 1 daughter, Robert and his wife, Maria, David and his wife Susan, Steve and his wife Ann Marie, Anthony and his wife Debra, Danny and his wife Lisa and Lori and her husband Kevin as well as fourteen grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Danielle, Stephen, Melissa, Lisa, Nicolas, Jessica, Anthony, Daniel, Evan, Nicole, Perry, Dylan and six great grandchildren, Rocco, Giabella, Hailey, Julianna, Daniel and Charlie. 12 nieces and nephews. Siblings Loretta (Predeceased), Carol and Steve. She was 7 years preceded in death by her second husband Salvatore (Lou) Chiara.
