She is predeceased by her loving husband of 73 years, James.
Mrs. Roland is survived by her sisters in law Clare Roland SSJ, and Janet Roland of Rochester New York; daughters, Ruth Sones (Geoff), and Mary K. Lewis (Michael); sons, Ned, Marty(Paula), Tom(Kathy), Bob(Gretchen), Paul(Lisa), and John(Molly); 13 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren; as well as one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Roland was born and raised in Rochester New York and would go on to graduate from Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women, class of 1943.
She was a former member of Brook Lea Country club where she and Jim enjoyed golf with friends and family. Pat particularly loved the Friday night fish fries, shared with some of her closest friends at the club. During retirement Pat and Jim moved to the Plant City area of Florida and later to Fort Myers.
Pat’s children are particularly grateful to the staff of The Preserve Senior Living Hospitals and Healthcare for the wonderful care they provided to both Jim and Pat. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Marie Theresa Roland are suggested to the Volunteers of America at voaflorida.org.
