

Marianne was born in Lansing, Michigan. The daughter of LeRoy and Anna Brooks. She graduated from Sexton High School in 1953. In June 1958 she married Richard Harrington, they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in 2017. They loved to tour car shows, with her ‘58 Oldsmobile, and his ‘40 Ford Coupe. They enjoyed being members of the Oldsmobile Car Club as well as volunteering at the Oldsmobile/GM Heritage Center in Lansing, MI.
Marianne first worked for the State Library in Lansing, since she was also a proficient-dictation typist she often typed term papers for MSU students to supplement the family income. In 1966 she started her career at Oldsmobile/GM in Car Distribution as a Statistician Representative for sales and stayed for 25 years before retiring in 1991. She was an avid member of the Oldsmobile bowling league and loved bowling with her Oldsmobile girlfriends.
Marianne adored playing cards and Bingo (really, any game), but winning was the best! She also loved doing puzzles and just hanging out with family and friends. Everyone who met her remembers her kindness and sassy humor.
She is survived by her children, Starr (Bob) Wieber of St. Johns, MI, Brett Harrington of Holt, MI and Lori Good (Dale Milanowski) of Nokomis, FL; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Brian) Hendricks, Justin (Dana Gallager) Wieber, Tasha Good, and Tyler Hatten; extended family, Bethany Wieber, Crystal (Andrew) Wilson; ten great grandchildren, along with many special family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Anna Brooks, her husband Richard, brother Earl Brooks, and her grandson Jason Wieber (Bethany).
The family will hold a Celebration of Life spring 2025 in Michigan.
