Marcella Ann (McKee) Thomas of Fort Myers, FL. went to be with our Lord on February 22, 2023 at the age of 81. She was born to Jack A. McKee and Marcella A. (Finnegan) McKee on January 5, 1942 in Johnstown, PA. She attended Mt. Pleasant High School in Wilmington, DE until she moved to Fort Myers, FL in 1960. There she attended Fort Myers High School. She then moved to Delaware where she began raising her three daughters. In 1974, she moved back to Fort Myers permanently. She worked at Orange River Market and Yoder Brothers before she went on to work at Sunland Learning Center. She had a heart for special needs children. She went on to become their school bus driver where she later transitioned to the School District of Lee County. She was a regular bus driver there until she eventually returned to driving buses for special needs children. In all, she worked for 28 years before retiring with the School District. She enjoyed crafting, driving around and visiting yard sales, going shopping, and loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Marcella “Ann” was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her brother, James McKee (Vivian) of Bear, DE, her sister Linda Pryslak (Michael) of Rehoboth Beach, DE, her three daughters, Kim Hill (Ron) of North Fort Myers, FL, Tammy Blodgett (Shawn) of Valrico, FL, and Kelly Gunn (Phillip) of Lehigh Acres, FL, 7 grandchildren (TJ Denney, Marcie Denney, Kenny Gunn, Krystal Sullivan, Michelle Botsford, Jack Gunn, and Shawn Blodgett Jr.), 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Marcella McKee.
