Lois Ann Lalor (nee, Winalski), 84, passed away on July 18, 2018 in her Fort Myers Florida home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 25, 1934 in West Hartford, CT to Evelyn and Kasimire Winalski.
Lois was married to William L. Lalor for 57 years. Before moving to Fort Myers, Lois lived with Bill in Springfield, NJ where they raised their five children. Lois was also actively involved in the family business in New Jersey. Lois moved with her husband to Fort Myers, FL in 1985. They were active in the community, their church, and enjoyed operating their retail floral business until retirement in 2004. Even after retirement Lois enjoyed working and took a part time sales and customer service position in a Fort Myers based upscale women’s apparel retail store. She was a member of American Business Women’s Association for most of her time in Fort Myers. The most important facet in her life was her family of 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She also had many other interests including devoting time to friends and others in need. Lois was a talented painter and loved to share her work with many including her Christmas cards! She also enjoyed traveling and reading. Lois loved to walk on the beach taking in God’s beautiful creations, as well as experience sunsets, shelling, nature watching and snorkeling.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2010. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William, Deborah, Stephen, Kevin and Drew, as well as her grandchildren, Loretta, William Jr., Michael, Candice, Sean, Pierce, Jennifer, Matthew, Stephen Jr., Megan, Brian, Mark, Michelle, Mackenzie, Drew and Connor, and 13 great grandchildren.
Lois was a graceful lady, a beautiful person. To have known her, to have been around her, was very special.
A memorial mass will be held at The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Dr., Ft. Myers Florida on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Hope Hospice of Ft. Myers.
