Karl graduated from Cambridge High School in 1955. He was in the Air Force from 1955~1959. He married Helen (Betty) (Reider) in 1962 and they later divorced. Their children Kris (Kevin), Jeffrey, Jacqueline (Joe), and Douglas (Angela) survive him. Karl had 7 grandchildren - Ashley (Dave), Sydney (Will), Isaiah (Kenzie), Nathaniel (Debby), Michael, Emma and Sophia. He also had 5 great-grandchildren.
He married Marian (Cheatham) in 1982 bringing her son, Jon and grand-daughter, Lacey.
Karl enjoyed daily visits to Fort Myers Beach, reading, television and weekly family gatherings.
