He was born at Providence Hospital in Washington, DC in 1943 to Joseph and Eugenia (Croghan) Walker. Joseph grew up in Wheaton, MD and graduated Wheaton High School in 1961 before starting Steamfitters UA Local 602 Trade School. He worked as a Steamfitter in the Greater Washington, DC area for 40 years and was a member of Steamfitters UA Local 602 for 60 years. He retired as a Foreman from John J Kirlin in 2003 and moved to Miami, Florida where he resided until November 2018 when he moved to Englewood, Florida.
After moving to Englewood, he was active and made close friends in the Lakeside Club community. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed boating, the beach life, and his beloved Shih Tzu – Fluffy.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Raymond Walker Sr and Eugenia Walker, and sisters Leta Gene and Sandra Gail. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Sonia, children Shanna, Christopher (Karen), Kelly (Michael), and grandchildren Gianni, Jax, Kai, and Kenley; brother David (Yanin) and sister Peggy.
There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
