John Richard Toth Jr., 84, of Nokomis, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025. Born on October 18, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late John and Edna Toth, John's journey was one of dedication and love.
He graduated with a business degree from William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa, in 1963 and went on to serve proudly in the United States Army.
On August 27, 1966, he married the love of his life, Judith (Quinn) Toth, beginning a lifelong partnership of 58 years marked by deep devotion. Together, they raised two children, who were the heart of his legacy. John found joy in simple pleasures: spending time with family, tending to his garden, and watching a good race.
John is survived by his wife, Judith Toth; his children, Kirk Toth (Marsha) and Kris Toth (Meika); his grandchildren, Alexis Taylor (Isaiah), Mikayla Woodbury (Parker), and Ayden Toth; and his great-grandchildren, Brianna, Josh, and Saylor. He is also survived by his brother, Darrell Toth.
A burial and celebration of life for family and friends will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery in November 2025. John was a proud disabled veteran, to honor his memory, we kindly request that you consider a donation to https://support.dav.org/DAV in lieu of flowers.
