John D. Reynolds, age 92, passed away on April 4, 2025 following a massive stroke. His love of his life, Helga, survives after 42 years of marriage. Also surviving are his daughter, Ellen (Bob) Fletcher of Coventry, Connecticut, two sons William H. (Mary) of Deltona, Fl and Thomas of Coventry, Connecticut, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. One daughter, Nancy Bouchard, and one grandson predeceased John.
John continued to be very active in the computer/techie world all of his life. After serving in the U.S Army, he started his career at IBM, learning all of the integral parts of computers. He continued to keep current in all phases of computers until his death. He spent the majority of his career at The Advest Group, a brokerage and financial services firm, where he started in the computer information area and worked up to an officer of the Company and a member of the Board of Directors. After retiring, John and Helga moved to Florida. They were the very first to buy a residence in the Brooks Community in Bonita Springs. They started in Spring Run when construction first began and then moved to Copperleaf where John loved to golf.
A private service is planned for the future. Contributions can be made in John’s honor to Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, Florida.
