John Keith Haulotte, 93, of Estero, FL and Sedalia, MO peacefully passed away in his sleep at home on December 15, 2024. John was born on November 30, 1931 in Chicago, IL. John is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ann, his grade school friend and life-long love, to whom he was married for 72 years. John and Carol Ann practiced and raised their family in the Catholic faith and were members of St. Leo parish in Estero, FL and Sacred Heart-Saint Vincent de Paul in Sedalia, MO. He and Carol Ann were loved and respected by many they supported and coached in the Marriage Encounter program through the church in Sedalia, MO for many years. John was a Korean war veteran. He also was a mechanical engineer who worked with Boeing and the Federal Government, among others. He and Carol Ann enjoyed RV’ing to see family and friends, along with new sites and adventures, for many years after retiring to Estero in 1998. John enjoyed participating in family activities in MO during spring through fall of every year. He enjoyed dancing, reading, fishing, golf, racquetball and bocci ball. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and great friend to many throughout his life.
In addition to his wife Carol Ann, John is survived by his 8 children and their spouses. Keith and Janie Haulotte, of Sedalia, MO, Kevin and Becky Haulotte of Sedalia, MO and Estero, FL, Kendall and Toni Haulotte of Georgetown, TX, Kerry and Jamie Haulotte of Riverside, IL, Kris and Sophie Haulotte of Boca Raton, FL, Mary Haulotte of Kansas City, MO, Michelle (Haulotte) and Jay O’Donnell of Smithton, MO and Kyle and Lindy Haulotte of Lee’s Summit, MO. They have 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
John will be greatly missed by all who knew him and welcomed into heaven by his Mom-Joyce, Dad-Walter, Sister-Lynn and Brothers-Bob and Kenny and many other family and friends who preceded him.
Celebration of Life services are being planned for FL and MO and will be announced later.
