John Ernest Guerra

He was born on March 30, 1938, in Mount Vernon, NY. He was married to Nancy M. Guerra for almost 58 years until she passed on September 3, 2021. He is survived by his son, John J. Guerra, his daughter, Donna Mack, son in law, Brian Mack, his granddaughter, Samantha Mack along with many friends who loved him deeply. During his last few years of life, he spent his days with a special woman, Dorothy Geraldine Welch, who he met at American House and they made some great memories together as well.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed playing golf, bridge, hand & foot canasta, reading, skiing and spending time with family and friends.

He worked for Nynex Phone company, which not only allowed him to provide for his family for many years but where he also managed to make a few good friends that he had for 60+ years.

He was loved and respected by many and his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the people he has left behind for years to come.

A virtual celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 1pm-3pm.
