John and Jess became our neighbors roughly 6  years ago. Over the years John became Mr. D. to me out of respect.  I was one of the lucky ones to have been able to whisper in his ear the day before he left us.  And I will tell you what I told him, he was the finest gentleman I had ever met  in my lifetime  and I am a better person for having him in my life.  Mr. D. was loved and appreciated by anyone who knew him.

We have known John for 35 years since we met him at out New Jersey  gym. Johnny introduced us to southwest Florida in the early 90s which we now call home. These photos are from a trip we took to Ireland, which is one of several travel excursions we had with John and Jessica. John was always upbeat and positive even through tough times. In addition to traveling,  we would get together for golf, games, dinner, and road racing. It was always a pleasure to be in Johnny's company.

We shared many great times together.

the Charlotte Harbor with John & crew.

We had lots of laughs and memories with both you and Jessica and we will miss you.

I was so very sorry to hear about John's passing.  When I moved to Sarasota National just over 5 years ago I was anxious about fitting into the community.  When I met John at one of the Wednesday happy hours at the tiki bar that feeling was quickly dispelled.  In no time I felt like an "Awabukian."  John just had a way of making acquaintances feel like old friends.   I will always remember the many good times I had with John, golfing (what a unique back swing he had), partying (smooth dancer), dining (those Celtic Ray lunches), and so much more.  I (we) lost a great friend.  Thanks for the memories, John.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. He was always a gentleman, a great business partner, a confinant, and a mentor in my younger years. Starting and building ADS with John is one of my fondest memories and, thanks to John, one of my greatest achievements.

I'm glad he was able to enjoy years of retirement. As good of a man as I've ever met.

John and Jessica generously embraced me as their friend years ago and I’m so grateful! I met John 5 ýears ago when we moved down the street in Venice Florida.  We quickly became friends since we had a south jersey connection. He was a great guy, he always had time to to share a story or experience. He made me laugh telling me stories about running his business and philadelphia  sports teams high and lows over his life. The thing that I enjoyed the most was watching John and Jessica doing the jitterbug at community events. God Bless my friend
