Miss you Steve! Thank you for being like a big brother to me.

A man of quick wit, a terrific sense of humor, a sharp mind and a kind heart. It was always a better day for spending time with Steve.

I am saddened to hear of Steve's passing. He was such a great person with a big heart. I always enjoyed working on projects with him at Conmed, he was so technically gifted, there are still things here that we worked on together that remind me of him. When I was going through a divorce he was there for me, just to talk, but so helpful. Then when I was struggling a bit and had no car he offered me his Chevy truck, I had to force him to take money. The world needs more people like Steve, I will miss him.

Dear Debbie, I was deeply saddened to hear of Paps’ passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family. I met him in 1982, when I was just a young teenager. From that moment on, and for more than four decades, he was much more than a friend to me, he became like a second father. I’ll never forget the immense joy I felt when he sent me your picture and told me he’d met the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. I was truly happy when I learned Paps was going to marry you. Knowing he had found such a wonderful life partner brought me great happiness. Later I had the incredible privilege of traveling with him across parts of the United States in an RV. We spent 30
 days together, and that time remains one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. During that journey, I came to know even more deeply his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and the tremendous heart he had. I’ll always cherish his teachings, his example, and the love and care he showed me from the time I was very young. His passing leaves a great emptiness in my heart, but it also fills me with profound gratitude for having had the blessing of so many years of friendship with such an extraordinary man. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I pray to God that He grants you strength, peace, and comfort, and that Paps’ memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. I've known Steve 57 years when we worked together at Ingalls Shipbuilding in MS, Alexandria, VA, and St John, NB. We stayed in contact for all those years and spent time fishing and camping. My thoughts are with Debbie his lovely wife, son Joe and daughters Stehanie and Sharon. Steve will be  remembered as wonderful, dedicated husband and father. He was always up for a game of pool and some tall stories. I will miss my friend and hope his family and friends keep his memory alive. RIP my dear friend, it was an honor to have known you.

I am so sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. He was not only a classmate and friend, but also a family connection through his sister Janie. My husband and I send sincere condolences and prayers to his family.
