H.Robert "Bob" Schielke

H. Robert “Bob” Schielke, age 85, of Naples, FL, formerly of Oradell, NJ, Willow Grove, PA, Bolton Landing, NY, and Leesburg, FL was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and Christian servant.

Bob was born November 29, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Belrose, Queens. His family moved to Oradell, NJ when he was 15.

He attended Concordia Lutheran High School in Bronxville, NY and earned a BS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

He began his professional career with Peat, Marwick & Mitchell in public accounting before moving into the insurance industry starting his journey with Aid Association for Lutherans and ultimately retiring from Liberty Mutual after serving as President of Liberty Bond Services.

Following retirement, Bob and his wife Lois spent several years in Upstate New York (Trout Lake/Bolton Landing), where Bob volunteered with local rescue squads.

After being traditional snowbirds, they relocated to Royal Highlands, Leesburg, FL, enjoying golf, bridge, dinners with friends and their afternoon Wine Club.

A few years ago, they moved to Naples, FL to be closer to family. Bob was an active and devoted Christian who consistently volunteered his time at his local church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gertrude Schielke; his brother, the Reverend Frederick Schielke; and his son, Andrew Gene Schielke. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lois Jane Schielke; sons Robert (Kathy) Schielke and James (Desi) Schielke; loving grandchildren, great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on July 9, 2026, 11:00am at Grace Lutheran Church, 860 Banyan Blvd, Naples, FL 34102. A celebration of Life will immediately follow in Fellowship Hall.
