Howard Rudolph Allen

Howard grew up in Alabama alongside two brothers and three sisters, all of whom preceded him in death.

Howard was a hardworking man who took great pride in his work and genuinely enjoyed staying busy. Throughout his life, he worked in a foundry and as a truck driver. He was also a talented carpenter whose skill and craftsmanship could be seen in the many homes he built over the years.

Howard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn Allen, who passed away in June 2025.

He is survived by his seven children, Anthony, Luther, Geoffrey, Gerald, Donna, Gail, and Rodney. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as four great-great-grandchildren.

His long life and legacy will continue through the many generations of family who loved him.

A service honoring Howard’s life will be held on October 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Gulf Coast Church of Christ on Six Mile Cypress in Fort Myers, Florida.

In addition to flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Howard’s memory at Gulf Coast Church of Christ. Donations in his memory are gratefully welcomed.

Howard will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his many talents, and the lasting legacy he leaves through his family and the life he built.
