In loving memory of Gunther Hain, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who passed away peacefully on June 2, 2023, with his wife at his side. Born in New York, NY, to German immigrant parents, Gunther led a life filled with love, passion, and generosity.
Gunther studied at Pratt Institute, where he developed skills as a draftsman and designer, and embarked on a successful career across various industries. He found his professional home at Metco, a former division of Perkin Elmer, dedicating the majority of his career to the company.
Beyond his professional achievements, Gunther thrived on engaging with the communities he called home throughout his life. His active involvement as an assistant scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts exemplified his desire to generously contribute to the people in his life. From camping adventures to winter scout trips in the Poconos and summer canoe journeys along the Delaware River, Gunther fostered a spirit of adventure and camaraderie.
Gunther's passion for home improvement was evident to all who knew him. He embraced many projects, both big and small, busily striving to enhance his family’s living space. Additionally, his love for literature, particularly adventure and intrigue novels, fueled his imagination and provided him with endless enjoyment. In retirement, Gunther continued to contribute actively to his local community's homeowner's association, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact.
However, above all else, Gunther will be remembered for his warm, gentle nature and his unwavering kindness. He always strove to see the beauty in life and in others, and his easy laughter brightened the hearts of those around him. Ever ready to offer encouragement and assistance, he left an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
Gunther leaves behind his beloved wife, devoted son and daughter-in-law, and cherished granddaughters. His absence is deeply felt, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts. We are eternally grateful for his boundless love, thoughtfulness, and the enduring legacy of kindness he leaves behind.
