Garnet Rebecca White, 78, of Sarasota, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2023. Born December 7, 1944, in Akron Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Scott and Louise Whitely Evans.
She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Percy (Ron) White; son, James C Huber and wife Patty of Dayton, OH; two daughters- Beth Anne Landry and husband Ryan of Jacksonville, FL, Raeleen Major and husband Eric of Pittsburgh, PA; Mother-in-law, Gloria Moore of Ocala, FL; two stepsons- Wayne White and wife Carol of Clermont, Florida, Jason White of Lakeland, FL, stepdaughter Jennifer Stokes and husband Trey of Ruskin, Florida; two sisters, Mary Pryor and Carol Byrd; sister-in-law Sharon James and husband Warren of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Julie, Marisa, Mckenzie, Sydnee; 17 step grand and great grand-children; beloved puppy Pico and grand pups.
Garnet lived life to the fullest, enjoying simple pleasures and big adventures alike. Garnet had a warm and welcoming heart, her door was always open, as she loved to be surrounded by friends and family. A free spirit, her charm and smile were contagious. Most of all she had a knack for making you feel better even on the worst days. Garnet was an active member of the VFW, Eagles, and American Legion. Her hobbies were knitting, reading, playing cards, Bingo, walking in the sand with her sisters, and occasional visits to the casino with her best friend.
Her friends and family will always be thankful for the gift that was her life and take comfort in knowing Heaven gained an angel.
