Frances R Moniz

Born on February 17, 1948, in Weymouth, MA, she was the oldest child of Charles M. and Gretchen (Holbrook) Conefrey, Sr. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1966 and attended Quinsigamond Community College. She worked for many years at Digital Equipment Corp., and after moving to Tallahassee, FL, she worked at the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wayne R. Moniz of Fort Myers, FL; daughters Roxanne (Moniz) Smith of Fort Myers, FL and Kimberley Moniz of Leominster, MA; sister Shirley A. Hudson and her husband David of Uxbridge; 4 grandchildren Torrie Chesbrough, Caitlynn Chesbrough, Chelsea Janes, and Brooke Smith; 4 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her grandson Jakob Chesbrough in 2009, her brothers Charles M. Conefrey, Jr. and Robert H. Conefrey both in 2008, and her sister Mariann (Conefrey) Rosa in 2018.

Fran will be remembered for Sunday dinners, fried dough, her love of the beach and cruises, the color purple, weekend outings with the grandchildren, Halloween, her adoration of cats, and the love she had for her family.
