Elizabeth “Liz” Veronica Davis, a deeply joyful soul whose warmth touched everyone she met, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in Sarasota, Florida, at the age of 81 after a courageous battle with ALS.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to George and Eleanor Schweers, Liz lived a life filled with compassion, laughter, faith, and love. She had a remarkable gift for listening and making others feel seen and valued. Friends, family, and even strangers were naturally drawn to her kind heart, wise advice, and comforting spirit.
Liz found happiness in creating cherished memories with the people she loved most. She proudly embraced her Irish heritage, enthusiastically cheered for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and never missed an opportunity to enjoy her favorite television show, Survivor. Some of her most treasured moments were spent vacationing with family in Siesta Key, Florida — her favorite place — where games of Clue and Chickenfoot often brought endless laughter and togetherness.
Her joyful personality was truly contagious. Liz had a way of bringing light into every room, offering comfort during difficult times, and celebrating life’s simplest pleasures. Her unwavering faith, genuine kindness, and loving nature remained constant throughout her life and will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Liz is survived by her devoted husband, Bill Davis; her sister, Sr. Georgine Schweers; her daughter, Lisa Schneider (Chris); her son, Ryan Davis; and her beloved grandchildren, Jack, Dylan, Erin Schneider, and Chloe Davis.
Though she will be deeply missed, Liz’s love, laughter, and radiant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Thank you for the love and light you brought into this world. May your memory always be a blessing.
