Eleanor Louise Wahl

She was born in Fredericksburg, Maryland - on January 23, 1936, born to Harmon and Mary Jones.

Eleanor married Ralph on June 20, 1964. This year marks their 58th wedding anniversary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepchildren, Allan Wahl, Janet Wahl, and Karen Wahl Schwartz.

Eleanor is survived by her brother Robert Jones and his family, Ann Jones, and her nephews and nieces - Jeffery, Greg, and Julie Jones from Pennsylvania.

Eleanor attended Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA. Remaining close with her sorority sisters.

Eleanor was an elementary school teacher and after-hours teacher for underprivileged teenagers.

Eleanor continued her teachings in CT, PA, and MA for 35 years. Finally, she and her family retired to Marco Island, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepchildren, Allan Wahl, and daughters, Janet Wahl and Karen Wahl Schwartz.

She will be missed and always remembered by Marynel Wahl of Norwell, MA, and Edward Wahl and his wife Diane of San Jose, CA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Madison Halatsis, Melissa Halatsis, Miranda Halatsis, Christine Carter, and Matthew Carter. She also has 2 great-grandsons.

Eleanor was a person that could sew anything (walker bags to curtains), rug hook from a picture, knit, crochet, and anything else related to making something! She loved games, Bridge, Sequence, and any card or brain games. She will be remembered by Quack Quack at Bingo B22!

Eleanor's favorite thing was to cruise the world and go to Disney Land. She had more Princess points than you can count.

Eleanor and her smile will be missed by the Lely Palms community, Marco church, Sigma Kappa Sorority, and sewing and rug hooking clubs of fantastic friends. She was privileged to have so many incredible friends!

The family thanks Lely Palms for their kind and generous ways of caring for Eleanor over the years. It did not go unnoticed!
