PARKER, Dolores Maria Keating, Died 17 September 2018 in Sarasota, FL. She was 82 years old. Born in Watertown, New York on Nov 19, 1935 at the home of her parents Richard W. Keating and Rose Victoria Dorothy Hennessy. Dolores was the youngest surviving child of Richard and Rose who sired five older brothers for their only daughter. Dolores moved downstate with her parents and siblings to Peekskill, New York in 1936 and attended the Assumption (Guardian) grade & middle school and graduated from Peekskill High School, Class of 1954.
On June 1st, 1957 she married the love of her life, Donald Norman Parker, of Mahopac, New York, at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. Her early married life found her following her husband from one US Navy assignment to another and giving birth to their oldest child, Pamela before Don was Honorably Discharged at the end of his enlistment. The young family moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1959 so that Don could rejoin his pre-military employer who had moved there from Connecticut. Most of her adult life, Dolores was employed as a School Secretary in the Sarasota School System.
Dolores was pre-deceased by her parents Richard & Rose Keating, her older brothers Leo, Terrence and Jack as well as her younger sister Helen. She is survived by her husband Donald N. Parker of Sarasota, daughter Pamela Parker Martin (husband Peter) of Bradenton, FL, their daughters Jane Marie Martin Haney (husband Brandon) and Sarah Ann Martin and a son Matthew Peter Martin, all of Bradenton. She is further survived by her sons Donald N. Parker II (wife Rui), their daughters Allyssa Michele Parker and Rayna Meiye Parker, and Derek Richard Parker (wife Toni), her son Jason and grandson Gabe of Venice, FL. Additional survivors include her brothers Richard Patrick Keating of St Pete Beach and Harry Peter Keating of Carolina Shores, NC and a sister-in-law Joan Marie LaDue Keating of Winter Park, FL., and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Memorial Mass on October 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Incarnation R.C. Church, located at 2929 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL (off I-75 at Exit 207). Interment will be at a later date at the Sarasota
