It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dave Hoover. He departed this earthly life on June 19th, 2023, after hard fought battle with cancer, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, compassion, and unwavering love.
Born on September 29th, 1967, Dave graced the world with his presence, bringing joy and happiness to all those who knew him. He was a cherished son, sibling, spouse, parent, and friend. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and gentle nature endeared him to everyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
Dave was an exceptional individual who embraced life to the fullest. He pursued his passions with great enthusiasm and determination. Dave started in the restaurant business early on, and worked many years in the insurance and mortgage business, even founding his own company, before becoming the general manager of the Hard Yacht Café in Dundalk Maryland where he touched many lives. Most recently, Dave had an amazing career at Florida Window and Doors and received accolades as salesman of the month several times.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dave was a devoted father and beacon of light in the lives of his family and friends. He possessed a genuine love for others and selflessly gave of his time and energy to support and uplift those around him. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and he made a positive impact on numerous charitable causes and community organizations. Above all, Dave valued the bonds of family and friendship.
He leaves behind a grieving family, including the love of his life Michele, daughters Kayli and Lexi, father and mother (Bob and Sandy), brother (Johnny), and a host of other relatives and friends who were blessed to have him in their lives. His loving presence will forever be missed, but the memories he created will continue to be cherished.
Dave had a zest for life and pursued various passions including spending much time in Dewey beach, where he met the love of his life Michele. They were inseparable and enjoyed many vacations, boating and spending time with family and friends most importantly. Dave also enjoyed golfing with his father and friends.
A celebration of an exceptional life will be held on his birthday September 29th in Dewey Beach, De. We invite all those whose lives were touched by him to join us in honoring his memory and sharing stories of the joy he brought to our lives.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Dave. May you find strength, comfort, and solace during this difficult time. May the memories you share bring you peace and may the love Dave bestowed upon you be a source of strength and healing.
