Daniel Michael Mottola

Daniel was born on April 28, 1931, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Italian immigrants, Daniel V. Mottola and Concetta Mottola. His long and fulfilling life was marked by dedication to his family, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the people and things he loved.

Daniel pursued his education at the College of William and Mary, laying out the foundation for a career that spanned decades. He worked tirelessly until the age of 75, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to his profession and a remarkable drive that inspired those around him.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Daniel proudly served his country as a member of the Special Forces of the United States Army, with his honorable discharge in 1954. This chapter of his life reflected his courage and sense of duty.

Daniel found joy in many pursuits throughout his life. He had a deep appreciation for movies and music, which brought him countless hours of enjoyment. A devoted sports enthusiast, he followed football and baseball with enthusiasm and enjoyed swimming in his pool. He thoroughly enjoyed the theater, live music, and fine dining.

Above all else, Daniel cherished his family. He is survived by his daughter Danielle Mottola of Madison, Mississippi; son Dean Mottola and daughter-in-law Diana of Pearl, Mississippi; son Darren Mottola of St. Petersburg, Florida; grandson Daniel Mottola and wife Natalie of Biloxi, Mississippi; grandson Dean Mottola Jr. of Pearl, Mississippi; and granddaughter Alexis McAdams of Easton, Pennsylvania.

Daniel’s legacy is one of perseverance, love for family, and an enduring zest for life. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
