Curtis L. Wolfe, Jr. February 28, 1965- April 1, 2017 Curtis L. Wolfe, Jr. passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 while a patient at Gulf Coast Medical Center. His family was by his side. Curtis was born on February 28, 1965 to Curtis and Sheila Wolfe. He was raised in Hollywood, Florida. He graduated from MacArthur High School where he played on the varsity team of the MacArthur Mustangs, an activity he truly enjoyed. Following his graduation, he attended college in Ohio. Upon his return to Florida, he worked in several different jobs, one of his favorites being a qualified yard conductor for the FEC Railways. He often told stories of experiences he had while employed in that position. Eventually, Curtis joined his father’s company, CLW Construction, providing rebar and post tension cable for new construction. Curtis Jr. soon became an integral part of the business. In the late 1980’s, CLW Construction recognized the opportunity to expand the company’s Southwest Florida operation, a rapidly growing area. Curtis Wolfe, Jr. moved to Bonita Springs to join his father in the construction of many buildings that today dot the Southwest Florida skyline. In 1998, Curtis married his sweetheart, Cherie. Together they built their dream home settling in South Ft. Myers. They not only shared their love for one another, but they were best friends. They loved traveling, music, soaking up the outdoors - anything they could do together. Only one thing was missing. Then, in 2004, it happened. They celebrated the much welcomed birth of their daughter, Casey, a beautiful red headed angel. Curtis became a loving father, a father full of pride who was willing to do anything for his little girl. He held her hands as she learned to walk. He encouraged her interest in the universe. He was there for her recitals and performances. He even danced with her on stage for the Daddy-Daughter dance. Life was good for the Wolfe family. Curtis enjoyed life to the fullest. He became interested in stock car racing, not only sponsoring a car but also becoming an amateur racer himself. He loved the West Coast beaches and Gulf waters and became an avid fisherman. Upon his move to Ft. Myers, he added an interest in raising an array of farm animals as well as well as demonstrating a green thumb in gardening. But Curtis will most be remembered for his love of people, his winning humor, and his ability to make people laugh and have fun. He was a great husband, father, son, brother and friend as well as the “fun to be around” uncle to his loving nieces and nephews. Curtis will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by the many who knew and loved him. Curtis Jr. was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Cherie, his daughter, Casey, his mother, Sheila Wolfe, and his sister, Kelly Hirt. A private memorial service was held on April 5, 2017 for immediate family. The family wishes to extend an invitation to family and friends for a Celebration of Life reception to be held on Saturday, April 22 from 2 PM - 6 PM at CLW Construction, 8141 Mainline Parkway, Ft. Myers, Florida, 33912. Curtis, we thank you for touching our lives.
