Clifton (Cliff) Land, 84, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024 with his surviving wife of 65 years. He was the loving husband of Judith (Judy) Land (nee: Clark). Cliff was the cherished father of his 2 children: Surviving daughter Roxann (Chuck) Green of Gravois Mills, MO; and Deceased daughter Rochelle Wallis of St. Charles, MO; and the treasured grandfather of four: Heather Bernardon; Judi (Steve) Rogger; Luke Wallis; and Jack Wallis; and the loving great grandfather of Kayla Berry.
Cliff is preceded in death by: his parents, Haskell (Hack) and Rosalyn Land; brother, Terry Land; nephew, Scott Land; niece, Stephanie Land; and his daughter Rochelle.
Cliff was born in St Louis, MO. He graduated from Ritenour High School. He was married to Judy on April 25, 1959 and had 2 children. He lived between his residences in Bridgeton, MO and Ft. Myers Florida from year 1999 to 2023. He remained in Florida in Arden Courts Memory Care Facility in Fort Myers the last year of his life.
Cliff began working for his father’s Awning Company, Cliff then joined the Laborers Union and began working for his father in-law at Oreo and Botta Concrete Company in 1965 serving in many positions. He then became owner in 1978, when his father-in law passed away until his retirement in December 31, 2018. Cliff was very well liked, and all his employee’s and business contacts thought the world of him.
Cliff was actively involved with Site Improvement Association, Laborer’s Apprentice & Cement Masons Unions thru his years at Oreo & Botta Concrete Co.
Cliff became an Angel Flight pilot, once he had his own plane and helped getting cancer patients to locations for treatments.
Throughout his life Cliff enjoyed many hobbies flying his plane, playing golf, water & snow skiing, hunting & fishing. Cliff & his wife, Judy, lived a great life, traveled many places and made many memories. He will be truly missed.
Cliff was a member of Overland Occidental Lodge - Mason for 63 years.
We will celebrate his life in the places he loved most as he is put to rest. May he find peace and freedom, he will be missed and forever in our hearts.
Cliff’s Celebration of Life will be held in both FL & MO.
