Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana; he grew up in Bogalusa, Louisiana and New Orleans. He lived in the Fort Lauderdale area in the mid to late 90’s where he operated his own furniture manufacturing business, Casual Designs. He returned to Louisiana in the early 2000’s with his family to enjoy the family-oriented area of Mandeville/Covington on the Northshore of Lake Ponchartrain. More recently, he retired and returned to Florida, residing in Naples to pursue his lifelong love for the game of tennis in South Florida.
He is preceded in death by his father, Murphy L. “Happy” Ditcharo and his mother Lucille Harris Hodges; and his brother Anthony Ditcharo and sister Victoria Ditcharo.
He is survived by his son, Carlos J. Ditcharo, Jr. and grandchildren, Myles, Mason, Maden and Mia from Bogalusa, LA; his daughter Nicole Ditcharo-Hildreth, son-in-law Robert Hildreth and granddaughter Emma Clare from Estero, FL; and long-time partner, Patricia ‘'Katy' Beach, Naples, Florida.
The Neptune Society of Fort Meyers, www.NeptuneSociety.com, is handling cremation arrangements followed by a private scattering of the ashes by the family.
