Barry Keith Dechant

He is survived by his wife, three children, 12 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

He served in the Army for three years in the U.S. and in Korea. He was a radio and television broadcaster before and during his military service. He went on to be a videographer for Michigan Bell Telephone Company until his retirement.

He was passionate about many aspects of the American Circus and was a member of various circus and clowning organizations. He was an active ringmaster and performance clown.

In his later years he continued to be active in his community (Cascades) and his church (Freedom Christian Church).

We are in the process of arranging a celebration of life service. His wife will announce details soon.

Interment with Military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241 on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
